Cornflower Blue Wedding (Rachel and Alan)

This past July 2012,  I was honored to be a part of  Rachel and Alan's Big Day at Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with you both! I love when clients give me their inspiration but let my artistic point of view shine through.  It shows they have complete trust in my style and taste and that means the world to me as a designer. This aspect also makes their wedding truly unique and not cookie cutter-ish.

I provided all their floral decor including: ceremony, reception centerpieces, and personal flowers. Since Rachel and Alan are both avid marathon runners, we wanted to create an outdoorsy feel with all their designs. We also wanted to incorporate some architectural style to the designs since Alan is an engineer! It was great fun working with them, I always enjoy working on events when both bride and groom give me their feedback!

*Color Scheme- Cornflower Blue, Royal Blue with a hint of gray and yellow!
(Rachel wanted to honor her late father with incorporating cornflower blue into the palette- so touching and memorable as that was his favorite color)

Thank you Rachel and Alan for letting me contribute to your Wedding! Best Wishes for a lifetime of Bliss and Happiness! I love it when clients and I become good friends after the event!

A Special Thank You to  Frank Salas (www.franksalas.com) for some of the gorgeous photos!

A photo locket of Rachel's late father for the finishing touch on her bouquet!

Eclectic Gerberas (Mach & Shah)

This past April I had the complete honor and pleasure to contribute to Mach & Shah's wedding! The couple wanted a fun, eclectic and vibrant feel!  Their color theme consisted of fuchsia/ hot pink, light pink and chartreuse!  With gerberas as the main focal flower, we decided to incorporate a garden feel with a modern artistic edge to it! Absolutely adored this couple and had the privilege to stay as a guest!  Super quick setup + getting ready as a guest = Nutty but Accomplished Event! Thank you Mach and Shah for letting me be a part of it!

Here are some of the photos I took at the venue....

Ombre Bouquet

om·bré
 adj \ˈäm-ˌbrā\
: having colors or tones that shade into each other —used especially of fabrics in which the color is graduated from light to dark ( http://www.merriam-webster.com).

Recently I made an ombre bouquet. Ombre has become widely popular in floral design work!  Ombre aka monochromatic describes different tones of 1 color used. This color palette is a  safe choice for brides who like a certain color family!

Here is the bouquet I came up with....

Color Scheme- Hot Pink, Mauve, Light Pink and White

Here, using carnations, you can better see the ombre color distinction!

Tropical Zen Arrangement for Administrative Professional's Day

Recently, I was asked by Davita Dialysis to provide some arrangements for Administrative Professional's Day!  Flowers are the perfect way to say "Thank You, you are appreciated"!  I decided to select more masculine type flowers since one of the admins was male...so I opted for tropicals.  The river cane gave the arrangement some height, drama, and a zen feel!

Sympathy Arrangements

Although my focus is floral designs for Weddings and Events, I also create arrangements for special occasions and memorable milestones!  In the next post, I will be posting  a Non-Wedding design to showcase my range for floral design work.

Recently I had a client's mom pass away, and I was asked to create a large sympathy piece to be sent to the home. I also sent her a courtesy basket from yours truly! Deaths are very difficult and sometimes Flowers are an appropriate way to say "I'm sorry, We Love you and are here for you Always"! They exude comforting properties ! Flowers are for countless occasions as they have been cherished for centuries!

On another note, these same designs can be used for other occasions as well (ie. Altar piece or Mother's Day basket).

Tangerine Tango, Peach and Blue Bouquet

This year's trendy color  is "Tangerine Tango"!   I wanted to incorporate this bright orange with peach and blue.

This is what I came up with...see pic below!  I adore peach and blue together!  Bright orange gives it a nice pop of color with the minimal red green and mango.

Have a Wonderful Mother's Day Weekend!!!
