Not your Ordinary WHITE Bouquet

I am a Huge Fan of Peonies !!!  LOVE them...they have got to be one of my Favorite Flowers!  Not only do they Smell Fabulous, they have wonderful texture, big heads (don't need a ton to fill space) and are just so luxurious and romantic looking!!!!

If you are a Spring Time Bride, then you are in Luck as they are most readily available in the Spring!

I am not a Huge fan of all white flower bouquets/ centerpieces because the color palette makes the flowers lost within each other !  I think all flowers and foliages are special in their own right and I definitely have my favorites. But I believe each flower (represents beauty and life) should be showcased in that manner.

Check out my Not So Ordinary White Bouquet....

*White Peonies mixed with a hint of green & gray and finished with a bouquet handle treatment!

Have a Wonderful Rest of the Week! It's Almost the Weekend !!!

Companion Pieces!

Yay...its Almost the Weekend! Super excited to attend a 9/10/11 (Super Memorable Date) Wedding of our Good Friend who lives in Norcal this weekend.!  Here's another Wedding related post in honor of their Big Day!

As I mentioned in my previous post...I am hugely fond of making personal pieces.  They are just so darn personal and special as they are almost always captured in wedding photography!  Lately.... I've really enjoyed making ornaments to combine with flowers.  Although flowers alone are gorgeous and special, I like adding special touches to take it up a notch!

Companion pieces are the best way to tell a story about a couple/wedding theme!  Below is a  boutonierre and bouquet set that both have paper pinwheels in them. Super Fun + Eclectic =  additional interest and another focal point. The best way to make a theme cohesive is to continue and repeat an element (in this case...more pinwheels)!

Here's another companion set...using succulents, burlap, and other materials to marry them together!

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Wonderful Weekend Everyone!!!!!!

More Vintage Love!!!

There's something about vintage that I truly love! It speaks timeless romance with a bit of history!  I know...I'm such a Romantic Sap but that's why I truly love this industry!  Bouquets and Personal flowers are my favorites to create. Today I wanted to share a vintage bouquet I recently created.  Bouquets are so special and mainly because they are so symbolic in a Wedding! It is the most photographed decor for a Wedding! I can relate because I will spend countless time photographing a bouquet at various angles and props.   I'll bet any bride out there will tell you that's one of the most exciting parts of planning a wedding and envisioning how their lovely bouquet will turn out! Well, I definitely felt like this once upon a Wedding!!!  LOL! Anyhow hope you enjoy this post and many more bouquets in the future.

A Vintage Garden bouquet with Light Pink Garden Roses, Blushing Bride Protea, Scabiosa Pods and Flowers with tulle, lace and floral applique trim.....

Closeup- Tulle gives it a feminine touch while the white protea and burgundy scabiosa give it some edge!

Let Them Eat Cake!

Finally........ I'm getting the opportunity to post about my Marie Antoinette inspired tabletop event display I worked on in March.  Its so long overdue!!!!   The drawback of taking too many pictures is that it's so hard to choose and edit the right photos......hence the long delay of this post.

This themed tabletop is dedicated to my dear friend Kandice who loves Marie Antoinette.  She is my inspiration for this themed tabletop and I hope I did her proud.   Everything you see is handmade  by yours truly including the fabric chandelier, paper flowers, and many other details.  It took me a few weeks to get this tabletop together....with so many labor intensive elements.  I'm definitely starting to see that my trademark in design include..... feathers.  Love Feathers....can't get enough of them!  It was a nice challenge to be involved in the floral decor as well as the event styling. I'd have to say that Event Styling is definitely one of my favorite things at the moment. The props in the display definitely highlight the florals and brings cohesiveness to the entire design.    Sadly.... it was a cloudy morning, lighting could have been a bit brighter. In the real world of events, there's always something that poses as a challenge...something usually goes awry.  This tabletop would have also looked fabulous outside! Overall, I am thoroughly pleased with how everything turned out.

Wouldn't this theme be awesome for a Bridal Shower, Birthday Party or Wedding?

Happy Looking.....

Headpiece completely appropriate for this event!
